Zookas are enemies that appear in Ape Escape. Zookas attack by popping out of the ground and shooting rocks at Spike.
Appearance[]
Zookas are green creatures with two pinkish cheeks and a short green neck. They come out from under the ground. They resemble a bizarre cross between a snail and a caterpillar.
Strategy[]
Zookas take a few seconds to emerge from their burrows, clearly marked on the ground. You can take advantage of this and strike them with the Stun Club as soon as they pop their heads out. If you delay in striking, they'll attack, taking a Cookie out of Spike's health before going back inside their tunnels.
Once you have the Slingback Shooter you can shoot them safely from a distance without being noticed. Alternatively, if they are out in the open you can use the Super Hoop to ram them.
