• The Submarine Lookalike's phrase is a reference to the Space Can, the previous entry in the Enemy Album, which reads "What's that? I came to the wrong game??" Like the Space Can, it has no way of harming the player.
• This enemy, along with the Space Can and AAA Jellyfish, is a reference to a Japan-exclusive PS2 game called Space Fishermen (スペースフィッシャーメン) which the composer for the first Ape Escape, Soichi Terada, also composed some tracks for.
