Specter's Factory, also known as Monkey Tool Factory or サルテックファクトリー (Monkey Tech Factory), is the 19th level in Ape Escape and Ape Escape: On the Loose.
Description[]
Specter's Factory is based in an old factory building in the middle of town, manufacturing weapons[1], such as the Mecha-Nuttcases[2] and Patrollers[3], as well as Peak Point Helmets[4]. The factory is also defended by a monkey in a UFO, an "Ape Cannon"[5] installation, and "Robochimp"[6] mechs.

Trivia[]
- The monkeys piloting the Robochimp mechs cannot be scanned by the Monkey Radar. Their mechs seem to be impenetrable to scans, and when the monkeys are defeated they enter an inactive state which is somehow immune to scans as well. This is similar to how monkeys in later games would lay on the ground dizzy after a battle, but here they appear to sit upright and play in the dirt, ignoring the player and all forms of damage. Their monkey data can only be viewed at the Time Station.
- Apeleo Apelei, mentioned in Ape Escape: On the Loose, is a reference to Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei.
- Pertwee and his description "A good Doctor" is a reference to John Pertwee, who played the Third Doctor in Doctor Who.
