Showdown with Specter is the 27th level of Ape Escape 2, the 6th boss battle, and Jimmy's first fight with Specter.

Story

After following Specter to his moon base, Jimmy confronts him only for Specter to leave him behind to fight a large Robo Kong known as the Cymbal Crashing Monkey. When Jimmy finally defeats the Cymbal Crashing Monkey, Specter returns wearing the Ultra Goliath Armor, prepared to kill Jimmy. However, as Specter attempts to crush Jimmy under the foot of the Ultra Goliath Armor, the floor under the Ultra Goliath breaks through the floor, restricting it from walking, and forcing it to attack Jimmy from a distance. The battle between Jimmy and the Ultra-Goliath-Armor-wearing Specter begins.
