In Saru Get You: Piposaru Racer, the fifth Saru Machine under the Yellow Banana Class is called Ratchet (ラチェット), featuring a monkey dressed as Ratchet from the Ratchet & Clank series. While this is a secret password vehicle, it still requires getting to Yellow Banana Class before using it.

Description

反重力でふわふわ浮いているホバーバイク型サルマッシィーン。地形のペナルティを無視してスイスイ動けるぞ。

(A hoverbike type monkey that floats with anti-gravity. Ignore terrain obstacles and ride smoothly.)

Password

To go to the password screen, press the L and R buttons on the option screen. Then enter あいぼうはクランク to unlock the Ratchet Saru Machine. The password translates to "Partner is Clank".

Ratchet Unlocked
	新しいサルマッシィーンをゲッチュ! でも、これでクラスアップはできないよ。イエローバナナクラスラチェットクラスがオープンしていないと使えません。
	You got a new Saru Machine! However, you can't Class Up with this. Yellow Banana Class - Ratchet - It cannot be used unless the class is open.

Gameplay

The horn on this Saru Machine ( button) is a laser sound effect. It doesn't actually deal damage or emit lasers.

Customization

Like all Saru Machines that need passwords, Ratchet has almost no modification options, but it can be repainted.

Trivia

• The design of this vehicle is based on the hoverbike from Ratchet: Deadlocked if it were split down the middle. The sharp nose, hydraulic cylinders, seat, and shape of the wings are telltale signs of this.
• A monkey based on Ratchet also appeared in Ape Escape 3 on the level TV Space Station (in releases outside of North America), and in PlayStation Move: Ape Escape on the level Asian Town.
  • Unlike the other Ratchet cameos in the Ape Escape series, Clank is not physically present here, only mentioned in the password.
• The thick eyebrows mentioned in the Helmet description are a design trait exclusive to Ratchet & Clank games in Japan, which started appearing in the second game, Going Commando, and ended after A Crack in Time.
• Both Ape Escape and Ratchet & Clank have their own manga series by CoroCoro Comics, a brand that has its own password in this game.
