Land of the Apes is the 20th level in Ape Escape 2.

Description

Land of the Apes is an icy land filled with ice spikes, snow, a speedway, and a hot spring. Similar to Snowball Mountain, the monkeys here wear winter gear.

• Similarly to Snowball Mountain, Jimmy has the chilly idle animation, and the monkeys share the same coats as their Ape Escape 3 counterparts.
• The 3 monkeys in the hot spring, Hear No Evil, Smell No Evil, and Speak No Evil are a reference to the Three wise monkeys.
• Robinson and his description "comes from a Swiss family" is a reference to The Swiss Family Robinson.
• Two of the ice-skating monkeys, Torvill and Dean, along with Dean's PAL description "Loves Ravel's Bolero", are an obscure reference to the British ice-dancing couple Torvill and Dean. They won gold medals at the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics after performing to a song by Maurice Ravel, called "Boléro".
