The Jake-mobile is a boss that appears in Ape Escape.
Appearance[]
The Jake-mobile is Jake's personal vehicle, gifted by Specter while he was under his mind control as a weapon meant to kill Spike. The car's structure resembles a professional racing car with a blue-gray chassis that's adorned with white, yellow, green and red decals along the body, the brand "H Max" on the hood and Specter's emblem just above the cabin's roof. The car is equipped with a pair of jets with wings in its rearside that double as mortar launchers by the frontside, morphing wheels that can be used as jet engines and a red windshield protecting the driver.
Strategy[]
After the cutscene that plays when entering the go-kart racing circuit, the Jake-mobile will start to launch bombs at Spike relentlessly unless you stand on the red square in the front of the vehicle. During the entire fight the car will be surrounded by a magnetic shield that repels all of Spike's attacks. Once on the red square, which will change green, Jake will stop throwing bombs and instead will deploy Specter R.C. Cars towards Spike that move in erratic patterns. To avoid damage, it's best to spin around with the Stun Club.
A few moments fending off the mini-cars later, the Jake-mobile will charge up its jets, getting ready to ram against Spike. When the car is about to crash against you, make sure to float away using the Sky Flyer to avoid any risk of getting rolled over. When the vehicle crashes, you can strike the green core in its rearside to damage it with any attack you have. If you time your attacks correctly you can hit it twice before the car returns to its previous position to repeat the same cycle.
When you've hit the core five times, the Jake-mobile will explode, ejecting Jake into the sky in the process. Another cutscene will play in which Jake is freed from his brainwashing upon landing, much to Specter's disappointment and Spike's joy. Much like the rest of the game's bosses, the Jake-mobile doesn't reappear in further replays of the stage.

- The fight with the Jake-mobile is considered the third "Jake Attack", due to the above images showing a name as Jake makes his appearance in the same vein as the prior Jake Attacks. In On the Loose, it is in fact labeled as "Jake Attack Part 3".
