Gabresias are enemies that appear in Ape Escape.
Appearance[]
Gabresias look like some sort of large bush with leaves coming out from their base and a large gaping maw with fangs in the middle, resembling a flytrap plant.
Strategy[]
Gabresias stay still in one spot until Spike comes near. When in their range, Gabresias will walk towards Spike to take him in their mouths. If successful, Gabresias will start to drain Spike's health over time, being able to even take a life out of him if you delay to escape. To get out you only need rock the Left Analog until they release, disappearing in the ground soon after. They'll reappear in the same place within a few seconds, so they'll capture Spike again if you don't move out of the way.
To defeat them you can hit them with the Stun Club, however, it is more efficient to kill them with a Hip Drop as they'll always stand beneath your location. In further replays any other offensive weapon you have can defeat them with a single hit, which includes the Super Hoop, the R.C. Car and the Magic Punch.
