Crabby Beach, or Primitive Beach (げんしビーチ) in PAL regions and Japan, is the 8th level in Ape Escape and Ape Escape: On the Loose.
Description[]
After his fierce competition with Jake in Dimension X, Spike finds himself traveling to the primitive ages, where a large part of the planet's surface was covered with water and thus the proper use of the Water Net is required to cross most of the following stages.
In order to pass through some of the new security systems Specter devised to stop Spike from catching his soldiers, the Professor and Natalie send Spike the Super Hoop to run faster across the stages.
Spike starts his Monkey cleanup at a sandy beach inhabited by little crabs where the striking sun became the perfect retirement for a gang of monkeys to rest. There's also a large cliffside and some caves where creepy crawlies live nearby.

Go Catch 5 Monkeys![]
Out of the 8 monkeys hidden in this stage, Spike is able to catch 7 of them, with only Moko (Slug) remaining out of his reach.
To get access to the Cliff and the Cove, Spike must first catch 3 monkeys in the Beach area to light up the Monkey Lamp of the cove, the new mechanic.
Highlighting the usages of the Super Hoop, you must take a run on the dropping metal platforms to the cove and use it once again in order to catch Shaka (Dim) and MaxMahalo (Wings).

When you reach Frosty Retreat in the following era and successfully complete the stage, you'll get access to the Sky Flyer to reach higher zones of the previous stages. Precisely you need to use this gadget in order to catch Moko (Slug).
Specter Coins Locations[]
The only coin hidden in the stage is inside the Cove. When you take the elevator to go after Puka (Fish), turn around when the lift reaches the top and you'll see the coin floating in the air.
Time Attack[]
To complete Time Attack you are required to catch 6 monkeys. The easiest strategy is starting your race by catching Gidget (Fossil) and then swipe the remaining three monkeys on the beach area. Then move to the cliffside and use the Sky Flyer to catch Puka and Moko at then end.
