Chaipus are enemies that appear in Ape Escape.
Appearance[]
Chaipus are weird limbless yellow heads with green leaves stemming down from their chins and symbols painted by their cheeks. They wear a traditional oriental emperor's hat equipped with a propeller that seems to be made from a pair of Fulu talismans. They have noticeably bulging eyes and large red mouths.
Strategy[]
Chaipus patrol a circular area in the air. When Spike is near them, they approach down to him and will spit a bomb at the monkey catcher after a few seconds of pursuing him. When Spike leaves their zone, they'll keep floating in circles.
Despite their dangerous weaponry, Chaipus are very weak and can be taken down with a single hit. The wisest movement to take them down is using the Slingback Shooter to shoot them down from a distance. If they're floating right above you, you can also use the Sky Flyer to dispatch them before they throw the bomb.
