The original ideas for the PlayStation game Ape Escape were quite different from the final product, evolving significantly during its development.
Initially, the project was known as "PROJECT KIDZ" and envisioned as a platformer where an 18-year-old boy would roam a large field, fighting gorilla-like enemies with a cudgel.
However, the development team found that the newfound freedom of 3D environments made it easy for players to get lost and lose track of their objectives. To address this, they conceived the core idea of having something to chase, which would provide a clear and constant goal for the player.

Hi I'm Adzzy or Adam if you prefer. I'm going to try to fill out all of the levels and enemies for Ape Escape 2 and 3. Eversince I discovered this wiki (1 week ago lol) I've been working really hard to bring it back. I'll need help though since my knowledge on games like Pumped and Primed is super limited due to the fact that Pumped and primed was never released in PAL regions. I've also never played Ape Escape Move and some of the other spin off games so I would definitely appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hello, friends! Top Banana! I am OTFree, and I am shocked at the state of this wiki. After doing a bit of research, it would appear the two main admins are no longer active (the founder hasn't been active since last year, the other bureaucrat has since deleted his account). My artist name and character is Vashti Woodlawn, the female sasquatch/whitehead like Specter. Specter would be the male sasquatch/whitehead in the band. I gave him a last name too. I would like to build one big community of fans for this Ape Escape franchise.
in order to reach this goal, I think that a big and complete wiki will be better than many little wikias, which is today a reason of having not so much content and regular contributors.
A very big fan's community can lead to attract a higher number of readers and contributors.
This is the reason why I suggest to merge apeescape.wikia Wiki with our own Wiki.
I've worked a lot here, but I cannot build a whole Wiki alone, and that's why we need to have one main Wiki.
